Yes, MM7 does support 3Dfx acceleration but I found myself not being overly impressed by that aspect - playing in good old-fashioned software mode conveyed a strong sense of belonging, at least to me. Just don't expect great leaps forward in the technicalities of gameplay (maybe a good thing - why fix it if it isn't broken?) or graphics.
